Registration directories sorted by trade and region, called Webkatalog or Webverzeichnis in the German-speaking web; paid and free, moderated and not, all coexist. Measured, the small independents were unexpectedly numerous, while the large phone-book brands sat behind bot gates. Austria keeps its own set of brands; Switzerland keeps small catalogues named after a valley.
